Hello, I was hoping to find out some general information with regard to dimmer switches. I installed a new ceiling light in my kitchen this afternoon; I planned on swapping the existing switch to a Lutron dimmer. It will not fit due to the metal surrounding which makes it significantly larger. At the location there is an electrical plug adjacent to two light switches. I have a dimmer in my upstairs bathroom which is a different model, but I was able to confirm the same design.
Can someone please confirm if this is the case for all dimmer switches out there? Any insight would be much appreciated!
