Hi.
I am replacing my dimmer switch in my kitchen. I have 5 x 50w halogens being powered by 105va transformers.
The dimmer I am looking at is 300w/va. Would this work ok or what would I need?
Thanks
Glen

1. US state- virginia, one of the original 13 states, the site of bloody battles during the civil war.

2. medical. - abbreviation for ------, cures brewer's droop in the older genewration.

3. scientific - volts x amps, get an electrician to explain and fit the right dimmer. :hurray:

4. 300w is too small. and so , probably is the back box. see 3.

check the rating of the dimmer for halogen lighting,it may be downrated. If it's rated for 300w of halogen it will be fine.

Dimmers, BLOODY AWFUL THINGS, get rid of it. I bet you don't use it anyway.

Yes one wire nut will grab a wire but I will suggest an orange one because the wire is 14 gage wire for lighting.
