hello all
please can you help i have just installed my 3d triple dimmer switch within 6 weeks !
a bulb blew in the ceiling light which has 3 bulbs all of which are 60w then after the dimmer no longer worked
so took it back i had a replacement i have 2 wall lights 60w 2weeks ago one of the wall light no longer dim ?
had another replacement so on Monday i refitted new dimmer switch all working great
once again wall dimmer not working i have checked all the wiring all look good no lose cables
all these triple dimmer switches bought from B&Q make crabtree 3x250w 2way chrome
i`m not using the two way on back of dimmer switch 250 max on each switch
am i right in thinking 3 bulbs in ceiling 3x60w plus 2 wall light 2x60w total; 300w is this why there are going faulty
but each dimmer switch has 250w max so the 2 wall lights are 250w max per switch but i`m only using a 60w bulb
should i try another make ? if so what make ?
PS i`m using E14 bulbs halogen 54w also tried other bulbs still not dimming !
thank you Paul

Hi mate. some dimmers don't work well with certain lamps. I presume that the lamps are dimmable?
You have to find out what dimer switch works best with your lamps. You might have to Google it.

hello and thank you
hope the image works
i shall take a look later

Yes one wire nut will grab a wire but I will suggest an orange one because the wire is 14 gage wire for lighting.
