Hi All

Have installed a 3 gang dimmer switch and when turned on to maximum with no load only 120v but as soon as lighting flex added it was 230v. When turned off back down to 0v.Can anyone explain why? Thanks.

2 core flex from pendant used as temporary to test if working which it does when connected. Once flex disconnected but dimmer still turned on votage drops from 230 to 120v? Any suggestions?

In addition to Brians post above you can get electronic impulse relays, so no thud as they switch in and out.
