Hello

Have attended property to investigate fault on storage side of dimplex heater. Fault caused by supply conductors [line & neutral]touching internal casing of store and melting causing dead short. No idea how long they had been in contact with case for. After replacing flex storage elements now working and drawing current. My question is when the fan should come on to draw out the stored heat. On test the fan comes on at mid-setting instantly but was expecting it not to come on until the bricks had had a chance to store heat. Fan also humming. Is this normal for this dimplex model?

Thanks in advance - apologies for posting on a friday evening. Not normally a poster as most answers found on forum, thanks again to all contributors
