dimplex storage heater

wonder if anyone can help me with this i have been looking at a dimplex heatstore model hsxda24n have check main fuse and that is ok have check all elements and they seem ok input temp was broken so changed that and tried test heater by puting onto daytime supply but it keeps tripping the rcd on that circuit as soon as you switch it on i would not normally look at applicances but the lady wanted a couple of bathroom fan put in to her rented flats so i said i would take a look any thoughts would be great
