Disabled toilet alarm (Query)

could someone tell me wether there is a reg concerning the placement of the reset button on a disabled toilet alarm?

Cant think of one but I would have thought that would be more a part M of the building regs ie between the 450 - 1200 mm for height and within arms reach from the seated position

the reset button is not for the seated person its for the person who responds when the alarm is activated

How does the seated person reset the alarm if they have set it off in error.

you mean he pulled the pull cord thinking it would flush the toilet ?

the idea is if the alarm goes off either by error or request for assistance someone comes to assist /reset

Normally they cannot, it has to be reset by another person who attends when it has gone off.

Last thing you want is the disabled person to reset it, then collapse and not be able to set it off again.

Have a look at approved document M, theres diagrams in there regarding the positioning of everything in a disabled W/C.
