Hi all,

Got a job tomorrow at a hotel, they have just basically said that the disabled toilet alarm in one of the rooms doesn't work. She later said that it's a 'fairly old system' and that there is only one disabled alarm, and the panel in reception 'has got its power light on'. Therefore without looking at it am not sure if it's a faulty pull cord or maybe problem lies elsewhere.

Anyway, i'm going tomorrow, and need to try and get it all done between 12-3 as it's the only disabled room they have and someones booked in tomorrow!

Never really worked on these before and would appreciate any advice on what to look out for, test etc or any ideas at all. (i'm thinking pullcord)

Cheers

Older simple systems are a simple latching circuit, where activating the alarm powers up any warning lights / sounders until a reset is pushed.
If the warning light is still active in reception try the reset switch/button first (make sure they have activated it, and if they have check that the switch functions as designed)
