first time i've seen this before. 100watt vivarium lamp blows, takes out 3A 1362 - through stat - takes out another 3A 1362 - back to CU- takes out 16A MCB. must have been a hefty short lived fault current.

Just goes to show how quickly MCBs operate, and sufficient current to go beyond pre-arcing point on the fuse elements

yep. problem is that the leads on the equipment are not man enough to uprate the plug top fuses, so looks like i'm stuck with it as it is.
