I am planning the services to be run to a new outbuilding in my garden, which is c.60m from my house.
I have done the calcs and need to run 16mm SWA from the house supply to a consumer unit in the outbuilding to meet the demand.
So far, so good.
My query relates to the proximity of the electrical and other services running to the building.
I intend to dig a trench at 60 - 90cm depth to carry the foul drainage and plastic water supply pipes and can find no reference as to whether the SWA cable and a seperate duct carrying telephone ethernet and alarm cables can all go in the same trench, seperated by c.100mm.
Does anyone know what the correct standard is?
Any help appreciated.
