Hello all,
I have been to a job where they have an exsisting zanussi zdf 5-5.5kw double oven and a gas hob. The customer wants to replace the hob with a hotpoint cra641dc 6.6kw ceramic hob. The current supply is 6mm t/e on 32a mcb rcd protected. They do not want a new supply put in for hob so was hoping to put in a duel ccu outlet and run another 6mm to hob.
I have done me diversity calcs as one fixed appliance,
5.5+6.6=12100w
12100/230=53a
10a+30%or remainder+5a for socket outlet
10+(0.3x43)12.9+5=27.9a
According to my calcs i would be able to connect both to the 32 amp 6mm with a little to spare. After disscussing this witha collegue they said that my calcs are wrong even though i explained that the osg said that 32a would be okay up to 15kw.
The question i have is would you calc diversity as one appliance and it it is 30% of the remander fixed load after the first 10 amps and not 30% of 53 amps.
Thanks
