Hi could anyone tell me if im on the correct section im working out the demand of an installation i have inspected and tested, and im in the middle of completing the paper work, on a ipod and its asked me for the demand of the installation, the installation has 6 panel heaters, protective device is by means of a 16A MCB,for each heater, its a small community hall, im looking on page 111 osg would section 2 be the correct part, as the heaters are not storage heaters.

also the hall has 2 toilets with hand wash water heaters split over 2 rings, how would i apply diversity to these?

One other thing the softwear is asking for maximum demand load and maximum demand units?
cheers people.

I think you are over thinking this problem mate, you don't need to get in to diversity. There are two simple ways to assess the maximum demand of the installation:- 1) Based on the size of the DNO cutout fuse, eg. 100A fuse (maximum demand 100 A/phase). 2) Switch on all the loads in the installation and measure the maximum demand at the tails with a clamp ammeter, again the units are A/phase. Alternative units for the maximum demand are kW and kVA, but your certification software should accept A/phase so you don't need to do the calculation.

HI biff55 , so would this be the case, 100A main 1361 type 2 33kA, 25mm tails 101 A method B and 16mm main earth Method B

i have 2*32A mcb
7*16A mcb
3*10A mcb
1*6A mcb mcb Total = 212A / .4 = 84.8 A:83:
