Went and had a look at a brand new brewery just establishing itself, a virgin install in a new-built industrial block.
They're fed as a metered sub-mains off a larger board elsewhere and been installed with a 100/3 board. Clearly, I'm about to find out more about the upstream characteristics, feeds etc and the 'house' electrical contractor.
Their big ticket items are the brewing tubs themselves..... 2 x 24kw (3x8) and 1 x 18 (3x6) kw heating elements. Get's us roughly 66kW on a 70kW board before anything else.
Long term, yes we need to drag a 200/3 ish into them from somewhere (not an easy or cheap task).
Short term, to get them up and going and brewing and making money asap (and me becoming a best friend with an endless supply of complementary product.... ?), how close do the wise on here think it's worth risking to diversity?
