Hello,
Looking for DIY electrical advice.
I have 7 x spots, and each are fitted with 1 x T&E connector block fitting [see photo]. In the past I have had spot Fittings with an 'In and Out' connection as part of the fitting. I wrongly assumed they'd all be the same! These have a connector block at the end of 6inches of T&E.
Q1. How can I link 7 x spots together using these? Do I simply use the same terminal for the 'In' and the 'Out' and loop to each one in turn this way, starting from the spot that was the ceiling rose?

Also, when I had tried wiring this up I have obviusly gone wrong. To test out my work, I only tried wiring up the Ex ceiling rose spot + 1 more, as a test. The ex ceiling rose spot worked as it should, using the light switch. However the other light was permanently on.
Q2 What have I done wrong?
In the loft I have the switch wiring, the wire from previous fitting and the wire going to the next one, plus the wire from the new spot light, ex ceiling rose.
I put the Black [red tape] with the brown of the new fitting.
For the rest, I put all the blues together and all the brown's together and all the earth's together.
Thank you in advance for any advice.[ElectriciansForums.net] DIY Electrical Advice: Spot Lights

Can you show the wiring at the ex ceiling rose spot.

I haven't got a pic of the ex ceiling rose connections unfortunately. The pic of the wiring was without the small black casing that came with the fitting, I took the photo before putting the casing back on..
