Do you need to be an electrician to change a light bulb?

I work for a company that manages properties while the home owner is away on holiday. Then while the home owner is away the property is rented out. If a light bulb blows we will go in and replace it. If replacing the bulb does not work, we call out an electrician to fault find. Do you need any special accreditations or certificates in the UK as an individual to change a light bulb in someone else’s property?

If you don't already, the way this country is going, you can bet your boots that before long you probably will and you'll need a certificate of competence before you can pick a hammer up !!!

Only if you pay £500+ per year for the privilege. Oh, and once a year someone will come around and watch you do it.
