I've got the knipex round boot-lace crimping tool already, to make multi-strand and tri rated cables more durable when tightened in the terminals. I like the fact it crimps it into a round shape as most terminals I come into contact with are round in shape, but it only crimps up to a size of 6mm2 and I want to make off 16mm2 tri-rated cables are there any other options apart from the knipex square end crimping tool.
thanks.

Just thinking it would be better than buying a split load kit every time you need to re jig a board, and sometimes the split load kits don't have enough length to reach the other end of the board.

Strictly speaking i dont think you have to crimp them at all. The cage terminal will do that for you. The ferrule is only thin and designed to stop the strands being damaged by the screw not mechanically crimp the cable like a lug etc.
