Just wondered if domestic work tends to dry up as christmas approaches these days,I would guess customers put off major work until after.Probably not much point in placing many adverts until next year if it does.

We normally get very busy, some of it coming from Christmas light installations that are tripping rcd main switches or rcbo devices on the ring that Mr Diy has hacked into!
January/February is normally the time to take a holiday!

Come Christmas time a lot of areas in the field can get quiet. In recent years I've done jobs for business' putting in Christmas displays and stuff which is nice. Also, as 'those incompetent people' we call homeowners get experimental with their own Christmas displays there can be quite an increase in call out work. As for the bigger installation spending, there is a tendency to put it off till the new year. One reason being the cost, the other being the risk of work not getting done and spending crimbo on a building site.
