Hi, i am pricing a job. there are 4 parts of the building, 2 used as shops and 2 used as offices, the office owner has purchased the whole building. once all the work is complete she will be letting out each part. its wired so each part has a 'sub meter' ie one overall meter then 4 separate meter to each part.

is there such a meter that can relay each reading from each part to a computer via email or the like?

if not is it permissable to install the 4 meters in one office so she can take the readings herself? as the tenants in the shop are not keen on the her having to walk through the back etc to the meter.

Install a meter in each shop and feed them from another bank of 4 meters in the owners place , these will also give a second reading if anyone disputes the amount of power used

You can get landlord meters, and you can set the rate, so you can tweak things to cover the standing charge.
