A mobile van converted into office with circuits supplied from a 3000w inverter and to a 3 position change over switch to a ccu with rcd protection .the cable from c/o switch is a 2.5mm2(iz 27A) to the ccu and circuits are as follows
1 16a mcb supplying heater 1000w on a 1.5mm2 cable

2 16a mcb supplying one socket outlet 1.5mm2 cable

3 16a mcb supplying a sfs for kettle 1.5mm2 cable

4 6a mcb supplying 3 lights. 1.5mm2 cable

the changeover switch can only supply one circuit at a time so the 3000w inverter produces max current approx 12a therefore circuits wired in trunk so realistically the criteria ib<in<iz is met because 1.5mm2 cable current carrying capacity is approx 21a? (without getting book out) so am unsure whether or not this conforms TO THE REGS?

If it is a caravan then the 1.5mm cable is fine but they have to be to BS EN 60332-1-2 which have to have certain fire propagation qualities Regs 721.521.2 and 721.524.1

If it is a mobile unit then again the cable size is fine, but must be flexible not solid conductors within the unit, and have to be of the low smoke kind. Regulation 717.52
