Hi all

I have a small problem with a job im doing, 2 first floor flats above a shop with separate landlords area for the 2x flats which is a small stairwell out to a door on the street

I have first fixed both flats, they will be each on their own single phase supply from the communal landlords meter cupboard to a 10way CU in each flat.

Each flat has its own grade D L2 smoke detection, the building inspector has said he wants a further grade D L3 system in the Landlords area(ok no problem), but obviously DB levels are an issue from inside the flats

So he wants me to connect the landlords smoke detectors to the first detector in each flat lol

Obviously this brings about its own issues

They will be aico alarms and my question is can i install a contactor of some sort between the systems to trigger the flat alarms if the landlords area goes off?

Or preferably a sounder unit in each flat independent of each alarm system

Or maybe the radiolink bases they do?

I hope that makes sense

Thank you

might this help. fit 1 in each flat, triggered by the landlords system:
