there is an existing lift in a domestic premises,

the owner, customer would like to tear down the false wall behind the lift, but, this false wall currently separates the bathroom.

so removing this wall effectively places the lift in the bathroom area.

1. is this acceptable
2. what would need to be done for extra earthing arrangements ?

(the lift is 240v, hydraulic driven. RCD protected on dedicated supply from consumer unit )

all advice welcome
