Is their any sort of certification required for changing a smoke / heat detector in domestic premises,
I did & smoke / heat & decibel test but can't find anything regarding paperwork.

Thanks.

A Local Housing Association I do some work for asked me to give them a minor works cert when i did a smoke detector for them. So, just do a minor works if its been a replacement.

question though: If a new smoke detector has been installed in such a way that it has created a new circuit...does a full electrical installation cert need to be filled out? that seems crazy.

Regarding decibel tests and what not, there are no BS type certificates for environmental tests. I have an in-house certificate made for environmental testing. It has lux, decibel, humidity, temperature, etc on it for that sort of thing.
