Hi all i have a little job to do concerning 50 downlighters to connect just wondering what type of joint boxs you other sparkys use i am at the moment using normal small jb boxs which can be pulled down through the downlighter ceiling hole to gain access to.

is there any easier connection method for this practice ie any other type of junction box.or connection unit that can be used to just speed the job up and nothing too expensive

hi tuckermot i have used those waggobox;s before i totally forgot about those i think i shall use those now instead thanks alot mate

also is there any ruling using the old style jb box regarding 17th edition regs regarding the jb after being connect using screws and then pushed back in to the downlighter hole and the jb not being fixed

JB should be fixed, strictly speaking. check out " line connectors". offer on on forum at present. they will accept wagos, choc blocks, etc. and are quick and easy.

iv always used joint boxs left 1meter on twin and earths and half a meter heat resistant flex but not sure on what the regs state regarding fixing the jb in place as it wont be maintainance free thanks everybody for your replys guys

hi have you seen thos click flow connectors on the tlc website wonder if those are ok for downlighters they look a very good idea but may be a little flimsey bye the looks of them

just seen those new line connectors on the forum im not too sure at looking at them but would like to give them a try and see how thay piece up together looks a good idea but until i try it im not completly satisfied
