I am looking for a downlighter that is suitable for to be placed in a ground floor flat that has been renovated. The guy that owns it has done the work himself. He has stuffed the void between his ceiling and upstairs floor thick with wads of insulation I have tried to move it as far away from the area of downlighters as possible but still not happy with the amount of air that would be around the downlighter. As its a flat they should also be fire rated was trying to find CAPPED F downlights but am having problems sourcing them. Thank you in advance.

If you want good downlights that are F capped take a look at these:
EvoLED Fire Rated IP65 Downlight 3x3W (9W) - Down Lights Direct
Doesn't say F capped on site as the approval is so new but I have got the certificates available to email if needed. The also generate very little heat ie cold enough to touch when on for long periods. They also produce more lumen than a 50w halogen. I've not found an application that they are suitable for yet.

Or for cheaper ones the Megaman ones mentioned above are another option. They are not fire rated though and very basic but they generate very little heat if any.

Available here:
