downlights not dimming properly

Hi Guys,

I have a dining room with 4 spotlights and a living-room with 6 spotlights. Both are switched seperately with dimmer switches. However, when I try and dim either the lights dim really quickly and go off. I have to try and turn the switch when they are off and turn back on again to try and get to a suitable dim.

Can anyone help ?

what rating is the dimmer switch and what rating are the lamps?

As above are you overloading the dimmer switch
