Hi All, I am fitting mains LED downlights to ground floor rooms in our new self build. I have used rockwool insulation in the void between ceiling & first floor. Lamp fittings I would like to use state they dissipate heat through fins in body of lamp assembly negating the need for a ' heat shield' around fitting in void. Has anyone any experieance of this type of lamp, do they work? Or am I being nieave to except advertised description. With rockwool within the void do I need to worry about the risk of exsessive heat around the lamp? Many thanks.
