To be fair I'd never heard of this "Connect+" until you mentioned it; it sounds like a good service.
When I get a package delivered I can almost guarantee that I'm not going to be in to sign for it (unless they redeliver on a Saturday like Royal Mail), while I can easily go to the post office or drop by one of the carriers' depots on the way back from work. Of course I'd much rather be able to walk down to the corner shop and pick up my package.

For crying out! They've done it again. This time they reckon there was no one in then tried to re-deliver but couldn't because of . . . . . wait for it . . . . . "Severe Weather Conditions". Oh, before you ask, I had asked for this delivery via royal mail.

If any of you lot have the choice of using DPD or an octogenarian slug with piles, don't go for the DPD option, the slug will be more reliable.

No complaints about DPD from me twice in 10 days parcel has been on my doorstep at 9:15

Lucky sod. I just had a rant at their customer services. They told me there was a 15 mile diversion in place to get to me but their driver read 1.5 as 15, it's a route I can walk in less than 45 minutes with my dogs. They updated the details with "cannot deliver due to adverse weather conditions" and told the depot manager that there had been a landslide. I've been using my road ok, so have the postman, UPS and Parcel Force.
