Well, i have just been to look at a mahoosive garden lighting project.

Landscapers are 50% done and have installed 2" solid ducts to where i need to get to.

Been looking at various external duct rods.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I must admit, there only seems to be the Dart ones, but they look quite good.

:)

the pipedart ones are good. Bear this inmmind though. If you only do small installtions, where you have a pit or access point to the ducts every 25m or so, then the smaller diameter ones are good. For anything longer, its best top get the larger diameter ones. The larger diameter ones will not flexas much in the duct, say for instancde around bends, or get jammed into other cables. Had this problem myslef a few moths ago.

seems good. I dont know anything about your area of business and your typical jobs ect, but i would get a longer one, in case you get bigger jobs. Also, dont pull cables withy the cobra. Im guessing that loads of blokes will ask why not, and say that they always do that. I use the cobra to pull rope into the ducts and then use that to pull cables. Ive had it a few times, when weve pulled cables with a cobra, because no rope was available, and the end has broken off.
Also, its easier to grip rope, than grip a cobra

I wont need any longer than a 50M.

And yes, i see what you are saying about pulling a rope rather than the cable.

Although it is only a 1.5mm 3c swa, and its a reasonably straight run.

I guess, taping the cable on will be better than using the eye on the end?

WE have a 250 m set from dart and would hand on heart recommend to anyone , good choice Dan !

And delivered today!

Just as well really, considering i need it for tomorrow :D
