HI, I have a potential job that involves installing a fan to a bathroom. The plumber who is currently on the job says that the only way to duct the fan is out of a flat felt roof, as all walls face other rooms and above is a tiled bathroom floor that they don't want disturbed. This is a first for me, can you even get a grill that would go through a flat roof???

I haven't had a chance to have a look at it yet, so hopefully there might be other options.

Cheers!

you can but a 117mm hole saw for around £8.
But I would not drill a hole in a flat roof unless you've got something long lasting to seal the ducting after and good insurance :-)

Thanks lads... yeah I'm not too keen on it either, like I said I'll happily go and take a look, and hopefully there'll be a better way... but I think it might be a "thanks but no thanks!"
