E-cigs & Vapeing

Well, after many many years of smoking, i decided i was gonna try and give up gradually.

I know there is a smoking thread here somewhere, but i thought i would start this one, basically related to all thing E-Cig & vapeing.

So, i have an Ego-T vape stick with a cool Coffee flavoured liquid with 18mg nicotine.

Gives a great flavour and good vape, however, i think i am going to look and try some others.

Anyone else doing it?

I gave up giving up years ago but I wish you luck.

Yo Jason, I've been using an e-cig on and off for about a year. Only in the last couple of weeks have I started to take it seriously. I have three cigs a day at present, and use the e-cig in between. Next week, gonna knock it down to two. I worked out how much I was spending on cigs in a year, and if someone offered me an equivalent tax break, I'd bite their hand off.

My e-cig came from Poland via the wife (who is Polish), got 10 bottles of 24mg, 10 of 18mg, , 10 of 12mg, 10 of 6mg, and ten of zero nicotine. The idea is to gradually work down until you're just breathing vapour and no nicotine. Maybe one day!

Nice sentiment, but I have tried and failed many times. This e-cig business is a long way round, but seems to be working for me so far.

Not to put you lads off but I was a little reluctant to switch to these after some dude had one explode his lips and teeth off! Anyway, good luck!

Nope, but I was gonna get some hardcore stop-smoking drugs from the docs. Just didn't like the sound of the side affects!

Admittedly, there are no "approved" e-cigs as such, and yes, it can be a risk.

However, i think providing one investigates makes, types, suppliers etc then it should be ok, better still, if you have a local shop.

I have done cold turkey before, and it wasnt easy.

There are many drugs available on the NHS, but as pointed out, some suffer from serious side effects and TBH, i havent got the time

Anyhoo, yes, i am on about 4 cigs a day and vapeing in between and so far, it has been fairly good.

If it gets me off the rollies then im all for it.

Getting so fed up of having to check ive got enough filters, papers tobacco etc etc etc.

Not yet, but this Saturday we are going out for a meal, so my aim is use it in there for as long as possible before being ejected from the establishment
