Hi everyone,
just a quick question.

When carrying out a consumer board change, you obviously fill out an EIC plus schedule of inspections and schedule of test results.

BUT, upon testing the installation once the new board is on, would you say its ok to test at 250v or would you test at 500v ??

Also, what about limitations (sockets behind a fitted wardrobe for example), would you still make a note, code 3 ??

Any helpwould be great, just to clarify for me.

Thanks again and best regards,

Sav

Hi

I will always test at 500V unless there are things connected to a circuit that you absolutely cant get at to disconnect such as lighting transformers high level outside lights etc.

Obviously you need to note this as a limitation stating that for circuit 4 for example you only tested L+N to E at 250V because you were unable to disconnect the loads.

Again with the socket behind a fitted wardrobe it either goes down as a limitation or you ask the customer if you can make a hole to try and acess it.

:)

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
