I am sorry to make this comment and its not made with argument in mind.in fact I wish the solar industry all the best,but, I would expect that the wish list of the e petition may not have overwhelming backing
I doubt also that you will get full forum backing for the petition

Another way of looking at solar power is that in its current state of return for the investment required, its not financially viable, and if not,why should the vast majority of the public contribute to it, subsidising the industry when it does not benefit them

Aside from the hardship endured by the collapse of the industry and its effect on the workforce,many people never likend to its existence in the first place,again sorry but that's the way others may feel

your views are respected!! it takes 2 mins to sign it would be nice also to see how much clout the forum has also
 
Des I appreciate what you're saying but the government is reducing the FiT claiming that they cannot afford it but how many times have you heard "Oh austerity, we're all in this together" then a couple of days later read that they have given ÂŁbillions in aid packages to countries who can afford a space programme and/or nuclear weapons. If they can find the money to do this then they can find the money to invest in british jobs.
Crikey we're even giving the Argentinians aid!
Rant over, sorry guys:)
