Eal?

Hi,

First post of many no doubt!!

Just completed my NVQ Level 2 Electrical Installation. Was told i needed this to get on the 2330 L2, which i thought i would be starting in SEPT11.

I went to the college to enrol last week for the 2330 L2 and was told they are not doing it as they cant gtee that C & G will be able to offer the L3 next year.

Ive enrolled on ELA Level 2 Diploma in Electrical ( cant rem exact title atm).

Is this the right way forward? i,e L2 diploma, then L3 diploma ( ie 2330 L2,L3 ) then into employment to complete my NVQ 3?

well im not sure about getting a level 2 to get onto 2330 level 2. but anyway the route i took was EAL level 3 diploma in electrotechnical technology, which was 2 years day release. After that its the C&G 2356 onsite assessment AM2. That EAL diploma is the 2330 equivalent which i had to do because funding was dropped for the C&G level 3 when i enrolled to do 2330 level 2.

talk to the college, i'd noticed they started offering level 2 EAL diplomas, when i done it it was just 2 years level 3.

In the end the JIB still accept this as a 2330 equivalent, so you can get your trainee level 2/3 after that course, then do AM2 for your gold.
