Quick question.

I know junction boxes need to be accessable i.e. in a confined loft space you may need to add a hatch to the jb for inspection.

My question is where an earth is bonded to service/steelwork does it also need to be accessable/visible? I have a gas pipe going to a meter which is backe on to a wall. To get it within 600mm it would be hidden by the plasterboard.

Cheers.

In the regs it says within 600mm of entering the property.. or where reasonably practable. but you have to think of the person who in a few years time sees a 10mm leaving the supply area and cant see where it goes! This always causes a pain in the butt.. Im sure the meter's not buried in the wall, so cant you bond at the meter??
