At a domestic property today I noticed the earthing had been "upgraded" with a water/gas pipe earthing clamp used on the incoming cable, see below.
I seem to recall earth clamps need to apply equal pressure all round, to avoid a risk of puncturing the insulation.
I was there to do something else on an outbuilding supply, noticed this because I looked in the main house meter cupboard.
I assume a DNO does not take a kind view of these DIY "improvements", assuming that is what it is? Comments?
