Earthing for shed

Hi all
could you tell me if I supply a shed 12 metres from house which is TNCS can I use the MET to take earth to shed or do I need an Earth Rod at shed.

this is in two camps of opinion, easyiest way is to install rod then there is no argument, however providing there are no services then i cant see the problem

Use the TNCS unless there are any services in there which would require main bonding...(not very likely in a garden shed).....again I'll say it,why does everyone seem to get all het up about earthing systems in outbuildings and yet will happily install outside lights and sockets on a TNCS without a second thought?

With WP on this.......as it's a boggo garden shed and if there are no services etc, export the PME.

Depends on the load likely to be used and whether anything else like a greenhouse is likely to be tacked on in the future....for a socket and light sort of job a bit of 2,5mm will be more than enough....If a workshop/freezer/greenhouse sort of thing you may well need to work out a likely loading and choose a cable based on that.
