can anyone please advise on a greenhouse earth quiery, the greenhouse is approx. 12 metres from the c/u in the house which is tt earthed(rural ireland), rcd protected. Connection will be via c/u in garage, 2.5 swa has been run undergrond to greenhouse and the only load will be a 2.4kw heater, should I earth by spike in the greenhouse or run earth back to c/u in the house via garage?

I would go with whatever is cheaper. If the greenhouse is wood and there is no metal water pipe probs cheaper to use the earth from the CU in the garage. An FCU will give sufficient power for the heater and lighting without running into voltage drop problems. In england the work would be notifiable - don't know about NI.
