When earthing the steel (running an earth cable from the steel to the earth bar) does the clamp onto the RSJ have to be visible or can it be behind a wall?

Is there any regs to say you can or can't, or is it just good practice to put the earth clamp on an RSJ that's visible? I'm an apprentice and was really just wondering.

Dom

The connection is required to be accessible for inspection, testing and maintenance purposes and must be complete with the usual warning notice as in a BS 951 clamp.
