I've just read a post on another forum that says there is an intention to make mcs registration easier and cheaper for plumbers, electricians etc. Anyone know if that's true or not.

don't see how that would match up with the competency requirements coming in from mid March.

Thought I think they are going to be targeting heating engineers to boost the renewable heat sector, and they'd mostly meet the competence requirements for those technologies fairly simply.

tbh I already reckon it's ridiculously easy to become MCS certified as it is.

My thoughts: While heating engineers should pass any practical assessment easily most I know are crap with paperwork and will really struggle with as I do.

Will they make the paperwork easier.....no chance it's going to be worse.

Will it be cheaper? No! To many hangers on to be fed.
