Living-Property

Hello, new to this forum and seeking the advice from someone who is more knowledgeable than I am.

I have a property that I am going to install a temporary kitchen to make it liveable. i need to install an oven and also need sockets for the usual appliances. The circuits will also be temporary as the property is to be remodelled in 6motnths time.

Question: what is the best, easiest an most effective way to achieve this.

single under counter oven (gas hob).
Fridge/freezer
Washing machine
Dryer
Kettle
Microwave

Is a single ring enough with 32A MCB Or a radial circuit?

Thanks for the help.

So 32A mcb radial circuit with 6mm cable for oven. Or is 2.5 enough as there is no hob?
Is it best to have both circuits covered by an RCB or is not necessary?

You don't say what the distribution / consumer unit is like [ is this being upgraded later as well] & is it yourself or others going to reside in it. If this suits, you could run a temporary supply [ preferably] in SWA from the existing consumer unit to a site distribution. Like used for on site temporaries.[ 2/3 way consumer unit with rcd as main switch & local mcb's] 2/3 2gang sockets etc.Could also have a supply / switch for cooker. Use a 6mm2 3 core swa [ 40+ amps], a later date you do not have to strip out the temporary installations. Even though you state its a temporary installation, it still as to comply with regs. only a further suggestion, piccollo

The whole system will be upgraded later. I am going to live in it for now. Consumer unit is approx 10yrs old with a single rcb.
To avoid problems is it best to avoid rcb with the ring as it will have a freezer connected on it?
Same question for oven radial circuit?

you seem to have missed the point made by bugsy, Any work temp or otherwise in a kitchen has to be notified to building regs and installed by a competant person, with the questions you are asking i don't think you fall into this group of people.

I always tend to steer away from putting rcb's as I can never find anyone who sells em:confused::rolleyes:

Seriously though, the earlier posts give good sensible advice and should be taken on board

Its usually the case that if you get an industry competent person in to do the work, then they tend to tell/advise on what would suit your situation the best. I think because your asking the best ways to do things, we've thought you were taking on the task yourself.

I appologise if we are wrong though:rolleyes:
