I was going to start this by saying "did any of you see the last episode of eastenders?" 22/07/11

Then laughed out loud to myself and thought I might not get much response to that.....

Well I'm not ashamed to say it....I did!

Anyway... Ian Beale comes into the pub asking Greg the builder for help quickly as his fuse box needs changing at home and he has no power.. Greg replies saying "sorry Ian I can't and that it's illegal.. Qualified electricians only"

11:33s in if you want to see it on BBC iPlayer.

I heard it too, I was expecting the legendary Tony Cable to burst through the door of 'The Vic' !

I'm sure only a few minutes in Ian beale was in the cafe on his mobile getting a price on something and then moaned about a quote of £150 for something... Not sure if this was related to his CU

I think this is going to be the most effective way of educating the general public about electrical safety - people are more likely to want to emulate what they've seen on Eastenders, Hollyoaks or Emmerdale Farm than listen to a lecture from a tradesman.
