So I thought, arrived at the house and found the plumber had moved the boiler to the loft(not a problem), the customer required the programmer to be moved from down stairs to upstairs outside the airing cupboard. I thought okay looked in the a/cupboard and found the connection box for all the controls, that's alright I thought.
Went down stairs to switch the spur off low and behold the programmer is still live, removed the fuse from the fsu bloody thing is still live. The plumber bless him had re fed the supply via a ceiling rose to the new spur next to the boiler, then used 15m of multi core flex from the boiler to the connection box in the a/cupboard.
So if the customer wanted to switch of the boiler in case of a emergency, he either had to pull the lighting fuse or scramble up to the end of the loft to switch the spur off. It ending up me wiring a new supply and fsu in the a/cupboard an 3pole isolating sw in the loft and replacing the flex with 3c+e plus the programmer wiring. My point is, plumbers don't you just love them.
