easy jobs being an electrician

currently working in domestic and commercial and everyday coming home with dead hands im only 19 dont fancy that the rest of my life. any ideas on easy jobs i can integrate electrical with? pat testing seems ok but people always ask for the c&g qual "i did a post about this" any ideas fellas!

Stick with the electrician bit mate I felt the same, never dreamed I would have done what I have done and been where I have been, I started house bashing when I was 16 and have been all over the world doing electrical work, PA Testing is not for you mate, and you don't need a qualification you just need to be competent at PAT

If you switch to PAT you may save your hands, but will end up coming home with a dead brain. Work at your career and you will be delegating the hand numbing jobs in no time.

By all means add PAT testing to your porfolio, but sure as hell don't do too much of it!

Dead hands? Have you checked them on a known source? Seriously though, your hands only ache because they're doing actions that they're not used to. Keep at it, and not only will your wrists stop aching, but your forearms and biceps (mainly, if you're right handed), will strengthen too. Good for arm wrestling or other silly drunken stuff.

you will get used to it, i had the same with stiff hands when i was playing in a band but then i was playing in the day between lesson at sixthform then an hour+ at home a night then music lessons and band as well, was playing 3+ hours most days

beleive me that is not a lot of practise, i was exspected to play 1 hour+ a day just for next music lesson then more for next band practise

At 19?????? at 42 I am finding it......hate domestic ...dam attics and fiber glass !!!
My plan is to do more inspection and testing the course isnt too expensive ....
