Hi Guys n Girls,

Not a technical question by any means but one I need help with.
I want to buy the EWAR book but not sure which to buy. There are a few and the one that looks the best is called " Memorandum of guidance on the electricity at work act 1989 " by the HSE. Im guesing this is the one I need. I also have the GN3 & regs book and Im thinking of doing the 2391 and have heard there is a great book to help me pass but I dont know what its called. My job at the mo is testing domestic intalls all day, so I only know a bit about the 3 phase side of testing but Im very good with the rest. What do you guys recommend.

Sorry if this is not a challenging question for your great minds but any info would be much appriciated.:D

Cheers
Jay

The memorandum of guidance is a free download, you can get it here: http://www.liv.ac.uk/safety/safety_issues/electricity1/electricity_memorandum.pdf

Its over 50 pages but probably still cheaper to print!

The best book I've found and many others agree for 2391-10 is Practical Guide to Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations: Conforms to 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2008 and Part P of Building Regulations: Amazon.co.uk: Christopher Kitcher: Books

It's a great, simple formula with loads of pictures!
