I was just wondering if anyone saw any good deals for panels on their travels at the event?

Cheapest we heard was from TD Solar. I couldn't get much info from him as there was a bit of a communication barrier (My Chinese is notoriously patchy) but his cheapest panels were down at 53p a watt. He told me he was going to be getting some UK stock pretty soon but apart from that I just don't know.

Had a few people quote 'low 60s' but nothing solid.

A friend and competitor that lives about 5 miles from me went and came back with modules in the low 50's and twin trackers at a very good price :)................who from?.....can't remember...........b a r s t a r d!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tell him I've just been offered black/black at 58p......... he says....who from?........... me, can't remember :) He may read this

Who, what and where were the twin trackers ?

I was told by one supplier that twin MPP tracker inverters aren't necessary. I think he could tell from my expression that I wasn't impressed.

A couple of inverters took my eye - Omnik and Growatt inverters. Not badly priced and didn't look too bad (Although the Omnik inverter looks like something from a 70s Scifi film

The Growatt have two different versions. The single MPP versions are quite cheap and the new range (which look quite smart with a stainless steel front) have dual MPP tracking, better stats and a bit more expensive.

The new eversolar has twin MPP, looks smart too, and the eversolar's perform really well, are cheap, and now have bluetooth etc,

Got quoted low 60's for BP's as they are now back in production! also low 60's for black on black HJ 250's, all these prices in low 60's are very workable, i have installed ET solar too they perform very very well, even on my own house now too, a 4KW kit complete under ÂŁ4k cant go wrong in my opinion

My favourite panel is Linuo and we are going to continue to use them wherever we can, however on some installs we're just going to have to go for cheap as possible.

You were too busy looking at the stands with pretty girls and missed all the little guys! ha
company called Sun oasis, had a chat got some really good prices with them, eg the BP Solar at that price!

What sort of quantities are you needing to buy to get to 60p? Are we going to have to wait for the drop in July to see them go down or April?

Thanks for feedback about inverters, it's time their prices dropped a bit. I just wished it didn't cost as much for roof kit.
