ECS Card

HI All,
Im hoping someone could help me out here please.
I have just done 12 weeks of intensive electrical training, and want to apply for an ECS card.
I have the following qualifications

Level 2 Domestic Electrical Installers
Level 3 BS7671 2382
Level 3 Inspection and Testing 2377
Level 3 Building regs 2393
2392
EMTA VRQ

Could I now apply for an ECS card if I do the H & S aswell?
I have phoned the ECS and have been told in the first instance that these qualifications were acceptable, then I called this morning just to check I had everything, and was told that I needed to do NVQ level 3 and also 2330 2 & 3.

Any advice would be really helpful.

What ECS card are you after ? if you join the NICEIC as a domestic installer you get the first card paid for by them ! The one you need 2330 etc and nvq 3 is for approved electrician ! phone them up and say its for domestic installer status if thats what you want ! best to go on their website and look through their ECS options.

you would be graded as labourer you hold none of the relevant quals as required by jib to be graded as an improver , electrician or above. you must have:

2330 level 3 (or older equiv)
2356 nvq3

they also look for 2391, am2, experience etc but the above are mandatory.

Im still not sure whether I need the CSCS or the ECS Card.

the cscs card is a general health safety card for most people working on site whereas the electricians and associated trades tend to have a ecs card which is a health safety test for people who work with electric.
