Hi tempyem, if you Google ecs and cscs, you'll get all the answers you need, just as we would have to do to answer your questions.

ECS is JIB affiliated.

Just heard today that the CSCS is apparently changing/getting replaced, supposedly that is......I was speaking to somebody who said it aint no use anymore and that the company they are working for is sending everybody on the new 5 day health and safety course, 1 day a week for 5 weeks.......two things here, the boys in work just now will get it and those out of work, or in and out of work like a yo-yo wont get to do it, so when everybody starts asking for the new ticket, very few people will have it, and also what is it costing the companies sending their trades there? I mean if its a 5 day course the chances are that they are shelling out at least 5 or 6 hundred pounds a head, so who will be able to afford to do that by themselves apart from people who are set up as sole traders/Ltd company and doing OK in terms of their workload/income......
They keep adding/changing tickets now on a more or less monthly basis....

Interesting. My mate just got his CSCs JIB card sorted a couple of weeks ago and other than the card having been made to look a little slicker, there was nothing else. Wonder when this lot' kicking in then?
