Hi
I can't seen to upload a new avitar, searched similar previous posts but all I get is this;

[ElectriciansForums.net] Editing avitar, am I being stupid?
Am I missing something??

:sad3:....Andy;~)

Should be a box above this where you can click browse and pull a pic off your computer, at the moment you have clicked the little test dot which has changed your avatar to Bulletin and this has worked ... you may need to unclick this test option first.... trial and error

Click reset fields and click browse search for your avatar you want, i think you have to click on a dot to activate avatar (use custom avatar option) then save changes.
Note you are limited to file size of any imported pic.

Thanks darkwood. I have already tried the trial & error approach but to no end & have been on various vbulletin forums for many years but just can't figure this one out! Any more suggestions?

PM one of the moderators they may have be able to explain better or suggest where you are going wrong....ps be patient they are busy guys ..... unless they catch this thread and help you here.

I'm not 100% sure but there may be a minimum post count required to enable the avatar and signature to be used.

Maybe try again after a few more posts.....but please don't spam the board with rubbish just to get your post count up coz it's annoying for the staff having to delete it all again.

Not too sure post count matters as gnuuser has a Avatar and 17post count just think OP is going wrong somewhere...

I take it lister101 that you are clicking Forum Actions tab and then edit profile on the drop down box?
Once in edit profile go to the L/H bar and click edit avatar
Once there click custom avatar option and use browse to up a file within the file size allowed for download then click save changes....

Looking at the pic he attached he's in the right place but doesn't have the facility to upload an avatar photo or insert a URL to a remote hosting site. This facility usually appears just below the 'Do Not Use An Avatar' checkbox. The only reasons I can think of that it isn't there is either his 'member level' excludes it (this would be post count related) or his web browser isn't handling the page style sheet correctly and it's buried the controls under another element of the webpage where it's not visible.

I still think the post count is the most likely because I've never seen any other similar complaints.

Thanks for the help lads. Since I joined i've had an info banned telling me I need 6 posts before I can change avitar & signiture but I'm past that now. I will PM the mod's for help thanks:smilielol5: Don't worry I don't post spam, I just eat it, fantastic stuff. Thanks again.

.........Andy;~)
