Hi people, Hope everyone is well and getting about ready for the weeekend!! :)) lol i have just passed my NicEIC assessment and received my registration no. and so forth. I can now issue domestic installations with installation certificates for work done however I have searched this whole site and looked NIC's site for certificates to have at the ready in the good case of work. The NICEIC certs are 9 quid or more for 25 and look really misearble with their purple lol. at the end of the day i just need to make sure that my work is on paper and it has been tested and inspected. Is there a good place to extract some EICs from and not too costly. I havent really started making money yet to be splashing out lol. Of course i have seen a few on here but not entirely sure if they are to amendment 1. THanks in advance for any helpful information. Peace. V

tbh, you're probably best off using niceic ones. if not, there are loads of cd s on ebay with all the certs. for under a tenner.

......or you can download from the iet website free

you mean the standard test sheets which we use for nic first assesment? yeah i thought that was a probably the best thing to do cos they are compliant and FREE just shame u cant add your logo on there to make it look more eye pleasing to the client who mainly seems to care on things like that rather than the actual state of the installation lol.

exactly...its more robbery...
to the O/P
welcome to the theft club...
Lol i have already been welcomed to the club thank you lol. NIC took my payment bak in September but only processed my assesment this year, end of Jan and ive only just got my registration through now as well. so basically come Sep 2013 my YEAR subscription is going to be over having it for a total of 6/7 months.

I'd be writing them a strong letter regarding this. 1 year is 1 year, and the year should be from your assessment.

Nope, that's standard for NicEic. I think Elecsa start your 12 months from date of succesful assessment, but I could be wrong (Again)! If so blame Whyte & Mackays and Angus Young! :earmuffs::rockon2:

Yes, correct, year starts from your succesful assesment, the same happened to me, applied and paid in begining of November and assesment happened on 30th of Jan, but yes my year started from 14th of Feb, so thats good, and thats with elecsa, I presume it should be the same with others, becouse it feels like common sence in a first place.

Your annual assessment may be next Jan / Feb, but your direct debit will be the anniversiary of your first payment in Nov.
