Hi,
I'm just completing works which included replacing the CU.
Therefore I'm providing an EIC for the complete installation.
Does the client still need an EICR? (they may be letting out the flat)
The EIC obviously contains all the test results you would find in an EICR, probably more allowing for the negotiated exceptions.. But not the codes for the inspections.
What do people think?
Thanks

EICR could be easily completed seeing as you have changed and tested the CU, is he prepared to pay you for extra to complete one?
Thats what it comes down to.

I would have thought that the EIC for a complete re-wire would be as acceptable as an EICR for an existing installation.
You only really need both an EIC and an EICR, when part of the installation is existing.
